Maybe I'm wrong but the way I see it, for a race of such a relatively short duration, just get out there and hammer the whole way. As my license plate says, "Go hard, or Go Home" But on the other hand, as you get to know the capabilities of your top competitors more, you can tactically pull back, save a bit of gas, run along with them for the first run, stay close on the bike, and then go for it on the final run. I only wish I could run like the wind so such choices were available to me. It was great meeting you and all the best in your next race. Roger I’ll gladly take a run like that any time.
