		<description>Hey Mark,

Thanks for the race overview - it was really helpful as I'm prepping for this September's Monaco 70.3 - a little intimidated, but I presently live in the French Alps with lots of hilly access...thus, I'm hoping proper preparation will prove prudent. Annnnnyyywho - what was your experience with your front end set up on the bike? I currently have a reg tri set up. A bunch of roadies want me to race with them this summer and change out my front end...and for Monaco that may not be such a bad idea. What's your theory? Merci!

		<description>Hey Mark,

well done!! great race report...i guess your buddy living in Europe warned you about the hilly race before so you didn't bring the typical north american tribike...
Sounds like you like climbing the mountains as you decide to ascent le Mont Ventoux, "Le Geant de Provence" as we say in France...
Next year i go to the Alpe D'huez triathlon...more challenging than the Ironman 70.3..long distance is 2km/120km/30km with many "cols" (including the famous 21 switchbaks of Alpe d'Huez on the program..it will be nice to race nearby my hometime even if i decide to enter the olympic distance race...
anyway. Enjoy the rest of your trip in france.
