I never cried for my momma before this race. It took 3-4 weeks to recover from this race. The + side is that I rode some switchbacks in the Don I could never ride and by some miracle I can also ride most of the bridges (if I am gutsy enough to). So, no cliche man, I feel like a pseudo MTBer - a long ways from a 50m freestyle (swimming) specialist! Harper: Ironman is a walk in the park compared to what we endured here!

Awesome reports man! You guys kicked ass and it was great getting to know you both better while mending our wounds and sore muscles! I would definitely recommend this race to anyone looking for a very tough challenge. Often an overheard cliched comment at the race but true nonetheless: "this race will make you a better mountain biker". Maybe in another 5 years I'll do it again... (that might put me in 80+ cat... but I'll still get my butt kicked!).
