Hey Syd and Daniel,

Actually I finished with a clock of 2:03:10 and chip of 2:02:58 so no gold this year. My goal is Buffalo so I had to leave some in the tanks. I could have easily done it based on how my day was as I was at 1:40:25 (25 seconds from sub 2) at 25k when I decided to shut it down. Next year for sure as I'll make it a target race and will see how far below 2 I can go.
Daniel, thanks for your kind words but it doesn't come without serious training sacrifices as I can't tell you the last time I've had a beer. I still have 4 in my fridge from before xmas.

I was supposed to be the other bunny for 2:15 but wasn't quite over the flu to make it to the start line. I was so stoked for it, and feel like a wuss for bailing.

Mike and I pass by each other on our runs around Pickering. I am aiming for a sub 2h at the ATB next year. Hope Mike can join me. He is making huge improvements every year. Now, I am worried....new competition!

Hat's off to everyone who braved that wet, windy, nasty day!

Hey Syd,

Congrats on your silver! Welcome to your virgin Bay race. By far my favourite race and don't feel bad about beating yourself up on your first as I stressed fractured my tibia at my first Bay race.
Good luck with the recovery and just remember "Rubber side down and melon up". ;-)
