You amaze me Gilbert!!!! What an amazing undertaking. I will have my sisters Donna and Joanne check this out. They run marathons as well but certainly not like this one you ran. This totally blows me away. Now I understand why Natasha is taking up her field of study. She will definitely have to be looking after you if you keep this up!!!! Well done, Mark. As my grandmother used to say, “That boy Gilbert!!!!!”

Mark loved your blog. Having signed up for next year any little bit of information is a great help.. How did you find the salomons and what socks did you use. Did you regret not toughening up your feet.

Mark! This is insane! INSANE!

I was always so curious about this race after reading about it in Ray Zahab’s book.

All of your photos are all the proof I need.

This is one of the most hardcore things I have ever seen!

Natasha has been your great supporter and I am impressed by your feat. A great example of what physical fitness and prowess can mean in one’s life. Keep it up Mark. You remind me of the Tarahumara from Mexico and their game.

Congratulations Mark on completing such a tough race! I can’t imagine how you did it with those blisters! Excellent race report! I almost felt like I was there, minus the pain of course! Great job!
