Nathan Hydration Keeps Me Moving

Through the running free lottery I had the opportunity to pick up the Peak from Nathan.   Throughout my years running I have amassed a large assembly of hydration packs, but I was missing something for shorter runs in the summer.   This was my sole purpose in purchasing the Nathan Peak.  I wanted a hands free run, thirst free run with little added weight.

For the purpose I mentioned above, the Peak passed with flying colours.   The belt sits comfortably on the hips and when tightened properly there is little to no movement.  There was sufficient storage space to house my gels, keys, iphone/ipod comfortably and the added weight only slightly affected its stability.

There is a large amount of adjustments which can be done on this belt, so it should fit everyone of any size.  It took me a while to figure out how to properly adjust the size, but I am sometimes a little slow.  After figuring out the sizing logistics I could make adjustments while on the run with no problem.

The design of the holder fits the bottle vertically on the small of your back.  This functionality really helped with weight distribution and I didn’t really notice the bottle much at all until I needed it.  It might be my make T-Rex like arms, but it was harder to reach the bottle than my other 4 bottle fuel belts.

I picked up this item for short summer runs, but the capacity definitely would get most people through some of the 1.5+hr runs.

This hydration belt should satisfy the needs of most runners and definitely would be a good start, or addition to your racing belt family.
