Xact Electrolytes

As an ultra trail runner, I am constantly looking for products that work, are convenient, and give me a competitive edge right from the start to the finish line. Over the years I have been looking for an electrolyte product that truly works. After many “failed” products used, I have found the electrolyte product that works perfect in those gruelling trail races.

XACT Electrolytes Tabs

Xact electrolytes come in very easy to use tubes that seal to keep the tablets fresh and in place while you run, they are also very easy to carry. The tube (holds 10 tablets), fits nicely in a shorts pocket on in a hydration vest pocket, and they are easy to locate when you’re in a hurry to replenish your nutrition. When you arrive at an aid station and want to make a quick transition with your electrolytes, you simply need to pop the lid, slide a tablet out of the tube, and pop it into the flask, fill with water, and continue on your way. No more trying to mix messy powders, or dig for small tablets out of your pockets. It’s as simple as just popping a tablet in your flask while you are refilling water at the aid station, and you’re off. In a few moments the tablet is fully dissolved and ready to drink.

I’ve used the cherry berry, orange, and citrus bang flavours (citrus bang carries a little kick with 50mg of caffeine). All have worked amazing for me, no matter the temperature or the distance of the race. The flavours are refreshing, and do not have an overpowering in taste. Typically in distances over 50km, I start to get taste fatigue, but I find the Xact electrolytes have prevented that from happening, and I am able to still drink them well over 14 hours into a race. Over the last two years, I have used Xact electrolytes in distances ranging from 5km to 100km, and they have continuously delivered. So, if you’re looking for an electrolyte that works, is easy to use, tastes great, then I would definitely give Xact electrolytes a try!

Running has been such a big part of my life, I started as high school track and field athlete and attended university in the states to run the 800m. I ran in the police and fire games and after the birth of my daughters began running longer distances. I have officially become an ultra marathoner in the past two years and am finding a lot of peace and healing in the long runs. Running for me has saved me in so many ways, the versatility and freedom it gives me. The variety, trails, sprints, distances, pushing your body. It has challenged me and given me confidence and strength.
