Gear Review – OS1st Bunion Bracing Sleeve

I would recommend this sleeve for anyone with a bothersome bunion needing some realignment or relief from minor discomfort. The design of this sleeve is quite different than anything I’ve used before … not like the other usual medieval torture devices with a hard plastic brace or a tightening mechanism. Those can be worn loosely of course, but then are not very effective. This design is much more like a compression sock, with a split toe design that is not uncomfortable, taking a few wearings to get used to, but does certainly provide compression and realignment of the foot. Although the package says it can be worn with sandals, slippers, or while resting, I found it best just for the latter, as it was a little awkard to put anything around it. It is easy to put on and off. And since it’s washable, and made of antimicrobial and anti-odor material, I think it will last a long time. I’m very pleased with this product.
