I’ve been using the Nathan SpeedDraw 2.0 Insulated 18 oz Bottle on my runs lately, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite pieces of gear. I’ve always gravitated towards hydration vests because I felt that it would be annoying to carry my water in my hand, but this one fits right into my routine.
The insulation is the first thing that stood out to me. Even on warmer days, my water actually stays cold for most of the run. If I throw a few ice cubes in before heading out, it stays cool much longer than I expected.
The comfort is another big win. The adjustable strap makes it easy to hold without actually holding it, my hand stays relaxed, and the bottle doesn’t feel heavy or awkward. It also doesn’t bounce or shift around, which I really appreciate on longer runs.
I also like the small zippered pocket on the strap. It’s not huge, but it’s perfect for a key, a gel, or anything small I want to bring with me. For most of my runs, that’s all I need.
Overall, the Nathan SpeedDraw 2.0 has been reliable, easy to carry, and surprisingly good at keeping water cold. If you prefer handheld hydration, this bottle is definitely worth trying. I’m really happy with it.
