In my journey to find an affordable trail running shoe with lots of cushion and a wide toe box, I gave the new Altra Experience Wild 2 a try. I do not do well with zero drop running shoes, so when Altra introduced this shoe with a 4mm heel drop, I was excited to try them.
The shoe is very comfortable and cushioned, with cushioning around the heel as well, locking your foot in place. They are breathable, and have very grippy soles.
The toe box is nice and roomy, and the shoe fits true to size.
I definitely recommend the Altra Experience Wild 2 trail running shoe. From comfort to foot feel on all surfaces, it is a great all-round comfortable ride.
