About Me: I returned to regular running in 2020 after a few false starts and bouts of injury, as I wanted to be a more active role model to my children. I primarily focus on road running but you can often find me sprinting hills in the woods (you gotta work with what you have available). While I am currently training for marathon/endurance, I truly enjoy the pain of a fast 5km race and love running them with my 11yr old son, who only seems to get faster every race. Interesting fact: I am a highly decorated homebrewer who has also won an Ontario Brewing Award (professional level) in a collaboration with a commercial brewery. Athletic Goals: Primary: Chasing a 3:05:00 marathon. Secondary: Running a sub-20min 5km race with my son. Also, I am registered to run the Chicago marathon in October 2025.
My most catastrophic racing experience was: A torn medial meniscus during the Honda Waterfront half in Barrie 2024, though I did painfully finish the race.
My most memorable racing experience was: Returning from that knee injury to win my local 5km in October 2024 (New Tecumseh Memorial), competing with my running group and alongside my son.
