Fox River Socks Review

Fox River Socks Review

I was very happy to be the lucky lottery winner for my choice of several pairs of Fox River socks this year. As most runners, I am very cognizant about sock quality, thickness, and feel when related to the different assortment of running shoes in my collection. For example, I prefer a thicker sock for training and a thinner sock on race day when I wear racing flats.   Fox River has the assortment of socks for all of my needs.

My lottery win enabled me to pick the following three pairs of socks:

1)   Style 1245 – Ultra Light Velocity Quarter

Among the features listed below, I find this sock ideal for wearing on race day with flats:

  • Sock has ribs on the top that hold the sock in place to eliminate slippage
  • Vented panels remove moisture and keep you dry
  • Soft, smooth flat knit adds a barefoot feel

2)  Style 1259 – Wick Dry® Classic Quarter

This sock is ideal for longer training runs as I prefer some extra cushioning in a sock for longer runs.  This sock features the following:

  • Fully cushioned foot absorbs shocks
  • Medium weight

3)  Style 1191 Wick Dry® Athletic Quarter

This sock is ideal for winter long runs due to the heavy weight construction which provides warmth.

  • Fully cushioned sole
  • Heavy weight

To summarize, I am a strong supporter of Fox River socks and recommend them to everyone; not just the running community.  I have pairs that are over four years old and still perform well and have no holes.  Try them for yourself and let me know what you think.
