Nathan Pinnacle Breeze 4L Vest

Nathan Pinnacle Breeze 4L Pack Review

This was my first time trying a Nathan running vest, and so far so good. I was looking for a lighter-weight option for shorter on-and-off trail efforts, and the Pinnacle Breeze 4L has been a great fit for that.

The first thing I noticed was just how lightweight it is. Compared to my Salomon ADV Skin 5L, it feels less bulky across the back, which makes it noticeably cooler and more comfortable, especially on warmer runs.

A few features I like:

  • Comes with two soft flasks, but also accommodates other brands flasks.
  • Adjustable side straps make it easy to really dial in the fit.
  • Three adjustable front straps that can be moved up or down to your preference.
  • Two smaller front pockets that are great for keeping gels, keys and my phone.
  • One larger storage pocket on the back for carrying extra essentials.

One thing I would change is the placement of the small straps that hold the bottle straws in place. I found them to be a bit too high, so if a bottle slides down slightly, the straw slips out and ends up flopping around. It’s a relatively minor thing, and probably won’t bother everyone, but for me it was distracting and I kept trying to fix it.

Overall I’m really happy with this as a lightweight option. Having fewer pocket options will take a bit of getting used to, but for shorter runs where I don’t need to carry much, this pack does exactly what I was looking for.
