About Me: In 2015, I relocated from the UK to Canada with my young family. We arrived mid summer and one of the first things I did was to seek out my local running shop, Running Free of course! Through several RF training and social groups I have been introduced to such a great network of people. Winter running, trail running and even running in the hot summer temperatures were all new to me and I am thankful for all the awesome people who I have run with and taken advice from in my new home. I had an amazing time with the RF team in 2017 and am excited to see where 2018 takes me in my running adventures.
Sports: Running - especially on the trail.
Athletic Goals: Last year I ran my first marathon, this year I plan to conquer my fear of the open water and complete my first Tri and hopefully become an Iron Girl! I also plan to focus much more on trail racing.
My most memorable racing experience was: Running my first 1/2 marathon two weeks after loosing my Dad to Prostate Cancer and raising a ton of money in his memory. I was supported along the route by loads of family, friends and my best running buddy, all the while with my Dad's voice in my head telling me not to stop. Emotional in every way.
Favourite Racing Gear: New Balance, Garmin.
Favourite Race: Still has to be Chase the Coyote!
Favourite Race Food: Banana and peanut butter oatmeal, with a dash of maple syrup.
