About Me: Living my best life, one aid station at a time. 🏃♀️ Certified ultrarunning coach, trail runner, mother of 4, green witch/nature lover.
Sports: Running, rollerblading, rock climbing, SUPing, kayaking, snowshoeing, spinning, boxing, dancing, pilates and yoga.
Athletic Goals: After running 140km in a 24hr race, I am excited to tackle my first 100 miler in 2023. I also hope to revisit the 10km distance and maybe set a new PR.
My most catastrophic racing experience was: Catastrophic is a harsh word but I have had a few misdemeanors. During my first 100km it was over 40 degrees, I had no crew, overtrained, and went out too fast. I only made it to 90km and it was not a pleasant experience.
My most memorable racing experience was: There are so many, but coming in first place AG at the TO Women's 10km in my first year of running is something I will always remember because I had no clue what I was doing, I just ran my heart out. Second was coming second place female (fourth overall) in the 24hr race at Happy Trails Talley in the Valley 2022.
Favourite Racing Gear: I have a hydration vest for every occasion and carbon fibre is the way to my heart. Even though I love trails, Nike Alphafly is my all time favourite shoe and I never run without my aftershox because I love listening to music and podcasts.
Favourite Race: So far I would have to say my favourite was the Sunburn Solstice Trail Race, with the TO Women's series as a close second. I like the Solstice Race because you run based on time not distance, so can test your limits without fear of DNFing.
Favourite Race Food: Summer- coke, ginerale, frozen grapes, pb and j Winter- endurance tap, Gatorade, cookies and peanuts
