Sable WaterOptics™ RS 101 Goggles

I had heard a lot about Sable WaterOptics but since I wasn’t unhappy with the goggles I was using and the fact that they are a bit more expensive kept me away. People talked about how clear they were and the fact that they rarely fog up. I have to say that I am very hapy that I gave these a try. I have never worn a pair of goggles that so clear. I have the gold mirrored lenses which have proved to be fantastic for open water swimming in all conditions. If it is a bit dark it brightens things up but also protects from the sun as well.

These tend to fit a little small or at least the nose bridges are small. I normally use an “L” but in these I use an “XL” so if you have a larger head make sure you test to ensure they will fit properly. I believe the “XL” is the largest bridge available unless they have come out with something larger recently. The set I recieved only had “L” but Paul from Sable was quick to send one out to me.

Once I got these to fit properly they are the best goggles I have ever used. The gaskets seal well and are very comfortable. As I said early they rarely fog up either in the pool or open water. You need to be careful no to touch the inside of the lens as it will compromise the anti-fog properties. If you do need to clean them a little bit of mild soap and a quick dab of a finger restore the anti-fog. You can get these in either prescription or non-perscription, having tried the perscription I can confirm that the lense quality is of equal high quality.

If you are looking for a new set of googles I would highly recommend giving these a try as you won’t find anything better on the market.

Happy swimming!
