Review of Fox River Socks by Dan Leroux

They are the best pair of running socks that I have ever run in.  I was fortunate enough this year to have won a voucher to buy four pairs of Fox River socks.  I chose to purchase the Fox River Velocity Ankle Light. The label said that they are a wick and dry sock that will keep your feet dry.  I was able to try them out for the first time in the best test possible. The test for wearing them was the Ottawa Marathon in May 2011.  I wore them with a new pair of shoes that I had for a couple of weeks.  The socks fit extremely well.  They were very comfortable in my shoes and throughout the race there were no issues with chaffing or blistering.  Even when we had rain on the course and my shoes began to get wet, there were no issues at all.  After finishing the race and removing my shoes, the socks were fairly dry to the touch and my toes and feet looked the same as before I ran the 42 kilometers.

After washing the socks and air drying them, they kept their form and felt just as comfortable when I put them on to run a week later.  These socks retail for approximately $12.49 a pair and are definitely worth the money.  I have never owned any socks by Fox River previously. Now that I have owned a pair, I can appreciate why they are one of the best sock manufacturers.  From now on, any further running sock purchases by this runner will definitely be a Fox River product.   I would recommend anyone who has not ran in a pair to try them out.  You will not be disappointed.
