Kahtoola MICROspikes

http://kahtoola.com/product/microspikes/

This winter I decided to hit the trails running, but my trail shoes alone just weren’t cutting it. After asking several more experienced trail runners what they use, I ended up picking up a pair of Kahtoola MICROspikes, and after running with them in snow, ice, sleet and hail, I just can’t say enough about them.

Their elastomer harness and welded chains keep the spikes attached firmly and comfortably to my shoes, and the stainless steel spikes grip whether I’m running in loose snow, packed snow, and even on glare ice.

Weighing only 11 to 14 ounces per pair depending on size, they don’t add a lot of weight or bulk, which was a nice surprise.

Kahtoola MICROspikes look good, they do their job well, and they gave me confidence that I would remain upright on the trails all winter long, thereby extending my training season substantially.

At the end of every wintry trail run I have been heard to exclaim, “These spikes are the BEST purchase I’ve ever made!!”
