At Summit 700 we aim to create the big-marathon experience, but with the personal-touch of a grass roots trail run. Expect, big finish line crowds, well stocked aid stations, seamless logistics, a world-class venue, and a fantastic atmosphere for post-race celebrations. Not to mention its one heck of a challenge with each course climbing the 700ft. escarpment at least once (3 times for the 21k). The reward for all that climbing are some of the most breath-taking views in southern Ontario, atop the escarpment over the crystal clear waters of Georgian Bay. A testimonial that sums things up well:
“I participated in the 21k event and it was by far the hardest and most fun thing I’ve done! Trail running has completely captured my imagination for the last 2 years and I’ve been working towards bigger races where you can spend the day exploring the woods.
The route was stunning and challenged me to stay engaged in every step! The hills felt hilariously big. My falling off big toe nail is reminding me of that with every step. Haha.
I felt safe, the trail was generously marked and the volunteers kept me laughing and feeling good. I even got a Salomon hat they threw into the crowd-which I’m taking as a solid step towards sponsorship
So thank you again to everyone, this event allowed me to prove to myself that I can do anything I set my mind to! A highlight of my year for sure!!
Can’t wait to see you again in 2020!
Robyn Buffett”
